Hi,
I am Wayne, and I just got my first Harley - a 2014 Fatboy. Previous ride was a VFR800, but while it was a perfect bike that could do everything, it didn't do anything for me unless it was fangin' over 7000RPM and tipped on it's ear - then she SANG!!!! Unfortunately, the ride to work has one corner - off the Barton Highway on to the GDE, so she had to go.
Before that was '95 ZX6, before that was a ZZR250 (which got totalled by a rear ender) and before that was an ER5 (which got totalled by me missing a corner and crushing 5 vertebrae, breaking 6 ribs, collarbone and punctured lung.
The Fatboy was the perfect bike - it made me smile when I got on it, and when I opened her up from the lights, it was "Hell YEAH!!!! This is what I'm talking about!!!!"
About to fit Gilles levers, and at the 1600km service, will put on Screamin' Eagle slipons (the only legal ones around), the indicator extensions and maybe a better headlight.
Cheers
Wayne
No idea who was doing the funky chicken dance, maybe John the Finance guy...??
I was going to ride this week, but had a throat infection Mon/Tues, a car full of drums Wednesday, and severe weather warning for gale force winds off the snow for today and tomorrow, so it might have to wait until next week. I am enthusiastic, not foolhardy...
Enjoy and Welcome
Welcome mate and congrats on coming over to the dark side
