Hi all, I have a 2014 dyna street bob, I recieved brembo sintered brake pads for the back and front today. Ive changed heaps of brake pads on Japanese bikes are the Harley ones just as straight forward?

    Thanks :o)

Yes no different. Make sure you put a blanket over the tank to stop any brake fluid drips.

Thanks, how come there'd be fluid drips? don't you just force the old pads back pushing the pistons back in the process fit the new pads and bolt the caliper back on? same with the rear? Ive never had to take the master cylinder cover off.

You may need to remove the cover of the reservoir in some instances to alleviate the pressure . But , try this, remove caliper , remove old pads and clean caliper and pistons. Install "old pads" in position and use a large screwdriver to pry pistons back as much as possible ,(who cares if you damage the old pads ). Remove old pads and install new pads. Slide caliper on rotor. Thighten everything up to spec , (use blue locktite) . I put a small film of anti seize on the pad pin,(bolt) . Pump up brakes when finished. Should be good to go !!!!! Oh , by the way a manual would come in handy for this and other home maintenance jobs . Cheers.
