I have just had excellent service from Steve Cole of TTS
Long story short.
Friend of mine had put a 120R motor into his 2011 103" Streetglide. Previously tuned by TTS since new , and again after 255 cams install
Original MTE lost in the death of a laptop. 120R motor came with a Supertuner that the engine installer tried to fit up to the bike.
( And no , they did not ask me first !)
NO-GO was the outcome , so I was called in to load a TTS "120R" cal that I got from a CVO forum member the states
Bike ran really well , but now had a locked SEPST as well. $525 of wasted money really
Thru the CVO forums Steve Cole of TTS sent me an E-Unlock.MTE file that I loaded which then allowed the SEPST to flash the ECM , which we then saved as an MTE using the "save" cycle on the TTS. We "saved" that "Stock.MTE" EVERY *UCKING WHERE !
Then reloaded the 120R TTS cal using TTS and the bike is all good with max mumbo AND good fuel consumption
Main moral(s) of the story ?
Save your "Stock.MTE" calibration in more than one place and use TTS as a first choice !
Thanks again to Steve Cole from TTS for really coming thru' for me and my mate
Yes mate , I used to think that any "Stock.MTE" would do for " going back to stock" but it's a no-go The original VIN is embedded in the stock tune and it would appear that we can't recreate it ( I did try !) I have reflashed to stock my 2008 CVO Springer many times , to flit between "older" original SERT MT6 calibrations and " younger" TTS MT7 cals I had saved that MTE cal from my CVO Springer more than one place at the time , including onto USB sticks , so no worries there I had to send TTS a " saved" cal from my mate's 2011 Streetglide and Steve Cole had the necessary software access to create an E-Unlock.MTE for me. We only really "needed to revert" as you say because another guy tried multiple times to reflash it with a new SEPST tuner that he managed to "marry" to the ECM. Waste of a new $525 SEPST as it happens , as he was on TTS anyways. Like I said , they didn' t ask me first !
