can hear the clunk of jaw to the floor from traditionalists, why not throw their hat in the ring for the clean machine.

may not be big in the expensive country of ours, but innovative none the less

These Electric Motors have plenty of torque, this unit would probably put a Hayabusa to shame.

E.g. The Tesla Roadster can do 0-60 Mph in 3.7 Secs, has 215 Kilowatts, Can rev to 14,000 and 200 Kph top speed.

It's funny most of the Harley haters hang shit on the archaic design of the air cooled, pushrod engine.

If HD are one of the first to mass produce an electric bike, they'll have to think of something else to hang shit on !

    Are we watching :

I'll look forward to when someone makes an aftermarket rigid frame to suit the drive train!

Cant see that bike in the showroom for somtime.

But did you guys watch the Isle of Mann TT 2014 about a week ago, they have a race for Electric bikes which is called the Zero race some of those bikes are impressive even though they are still under developement. Electric bikes only do one lap which is about 37 miles a lap about 60ks.

Superbikes with petrol engines do 5 laps then the Final race of the week is 6 laps

    Sidecars only do 3 Laps

Those guys are crazy, Michael  Dunlop scored 4 wins this year 3 wins on the BMW which is the first time BMW has won since the 1930s. Dunlop now making his total TT wins 11

I just spoke to a mate of mine who is working on the special effects on The Avengers.
Apparently it is definitely making it into production, it's good for 130mph and travels 230 miles on a single charge for the prototype and probably a better battery for the production model.

I personally think it's awesome they are throwing their hat in the ring for the clean stuff.
Traditionalists may turn their noses up but the potential to do good things for the HD brand is massive.

It'll come with a built in boom box that plays a potato..potato..sound track.  You'll be fucked when you get to where you're going and find you don't have enough power to get home, but they are the next generation.

Actually I found the winding noise that it makes under full load intriguing, sounded like a jet engine winding up.
