Helping a mate with his bike have found the the cam isnt standard as the owner told me the bore was just honed to clean up heads where serviced but valves are running tight as lifters ae solids and adjustable pushrods does anyone know what clearance I should be looking for have searched but couldnt find the motor is in a custom frame so vintage is unknown but a guess would be around a 1996

Adjust when cold, lifter on the base circle of the Cam, and aim for a slight drag when spinning the push-rod .

Rat as speedster rightly said you adjust solids by feel, if you have never adjusted solids before, chase up an old school mate and get him to show you, and all will be revealed. Personally l would buy a set of factory hydraulics set and forget . especially an evo ,tough as old nails

gday bob yes its me am not sure if they are solids but have treated them as they are and works well to have 2 lifters that dont pump up is unusual it was built by sys head mechanic 10 or 12 years ago had a bent pushrod 6 months ago then the owner took it to someone who put adjustables in and was told then what they where will call you today when work slows down a little
