    Hi All,

Have purchased a dual seat for my 883 and went to change over the weekend. Seemed like a simple task...unscrew and remove the standard one and then fit the new one. Unfortunately I encountered an issue with the screw over the rear fender…it’s totally fixed in place, can’t seem to unscrew.

Is there a trick with this? Appreciate any advice you can give.

    Cheers,

    Dre

I had trouble with mine. Ended up grabbing a pair of pliers and using them to hold the screwdriver. It made a huge pop and finally came off ha

You might try some penetrating oil (WD40) and saturate the threads. Let sit over night and try to loosten again.

replace it with this one if you swap seats a lot.

think it's called "quick release seat screw"

Reverse grind a drill bit, and drill it out with a battery drill or similar, going backwards.

the screw will heat up, and it will propably just come out by itself....
