G'day,
For my sins I seem to be one of the ride co-ordinators for a group called GHOST Riders, an acronym for Grey Haired Old Sports and Tourer Riders, thought up by one of our number in a flash of unaccustomed mental agility. Well, he is a Kiwi after all!
Anyhow, we're having a run to Cape Jervis for lunch at the Cape Jervis Tavern on Sunday June 22nd and a few of us have collectively decided that we will invite some HD forum members on the ride.
All our runs depart from Strathalbyn Railway Station Car Park across the road from which is located an excellent coffee and sticky bun cafe where we generally fuel up the inner man with caffeine and calories before starting our rides. Departure time is 9.30 so a good time to roll in is around 9.00 or earlier if you wish leaving ample time for a snack or whatever before we leave. Oh, sometimes we even leave a few minutes late. Why? Because we can, that's why!
We've set a pickup time on this run at Mt Compass for 10.30am for the strays from over that way. Some of our people live in that region and down south on the Fleurieu as well as from Murray Bridge and in the Hills. Our run will return via Normanville, Myponga and Willunga Hill to Meadows and Strathalbyn.
If you reckon you'll come along please let me know on this thread as we always try to keep our lunchtime hosts informed of numbers as best we can.
See ya there if you can make it.
Spook
I,ll see ya at Strath , and I,ll have Linda with me . Thanks Spook .
Look forward to seeing you blokes (and Linda) again. The long range forecast for Sunday is almost clear which is why we're largely staying out of the hills.
No problem, Rodge. Forecast has deteriorated a bit but still should be acceptable. But then my brother calls me his rain god! Yeah, he rides with me on the long ones, you know like down the east coast from Qld and rain all the bloody way.
Hey Spook. Keen to jump in on Sunday. Wifey will be with me. Might have to bolt straight after lunch as we have something else on. Cheers
Bo good to see ya there mate.
Great ride once again. Thanks Spook for organising this one. Sorry we had to leave a bit early but still had a great ride. Good to see such a good turnout on a cool day and meet up with a few more new people.(especially ones with red RK's)
Great day , thanks for inviting us along Spook . A few pics of the day .
As usual. Well done Linda on some great photos.
