1999 road king fork seals

    Hi, just bought a 1999 road king yippee, the fork seals are leaking any info on how to replace the seals as I want to try and replace them myself, tnx in advance

    Basically you have to disassemble the entire fork to replace the seals. With a bike of that age, depending on how many kms it has done, I would strongly advise you to invest in a service manual for your particular model. I have 96 road king, since new, and done 316,000 km. My service manual, costing about $80, has saved me many thousands of dollars. Doing your own tinkering is quintessential to motorcycling satisfaction!!

    you should replace the bushings and o rings also, and put in a set of progressive springs.
