Was wondering what your thoughts were, do you wear gloves and if you do is it a protection issue, look cool issue or what??  Is fingerless the go, personally I find that these keep my hands from sweating to much. We are talking summertime riding here.

    All the time.

I use leather riggers gloves most of the time. Have a pair of Cold weather gloves and a pair of wet weather gloves also. I have got a pair of fingerless sailing gloves but haven't used them yet.

Yeah I.m with pizzlin...I reckon the one time I don't wear something will be the day I stack it and shred my palms on the road...haven't done that since I was a teen and still not keen to again!

I wear fingerless in summer, and full gloves in cold. Both with nice thick padding in the palms. Added bonus is no sunburn on back of hands & I guess the padding helps with the pins & needles on longer trips.

I'm with Pizzlin too, I wear gloves all the time hot or cold. Dririder leather with kevlar. I keep thinking back to what someone told me: "putting your bare hands on a belt sander would be pretty bad, the belt sander spins at 30kph", need I say more...

I like the skin on my hands the way it is and have no desire to have it modified so gloves for me.

Yep,  wear gloves and draggn jeans at all times. I had a stack on a scooter in my teens and took skin off everywhere including my hands, was 3 months before it all healed.

I have 3 pairs, fingerless for summer, normal gloves for cooler weather and winter gloves. I bought a pair of fingerless gloves from the Safety Shop, they are used by riggers apparantly. Can't imagine sliding down the road without any protection.

Always wear gloves. Had a stack 4 months ago with out gloves on, the pain from loss of skin didn't hurt as much as the recovery and not being able to use your hands. Usually the first to touch the ground when you fall is your hands and fingers

Those fingerless gloves you buy may look the goods but they are paper thin and you may as well wear nothing.I am now wearing in summer , Harley gloves of the summer weight type and I reckon there the go and they haven't fallen apart either.

i'm a gloves fella. full leather with nuckle padding that have saved my skin once already. destroyed a full face helmet through the chin area (think about this a bit but still can't bring myself to wear one on the harley) & melted a dry rider but kept my skin. went for a quick blast the other day in just a tee-shirt & it felt great but skin is heaps better

When I got hit in May this year I was stationary, no gloves, and still have the bitumen tattoo in my left palm to remind me

Gloves always from that day on

The best bet is to get yourself some really light weight ones.
Fox do some great MX gloves that do the trick, or check out Alpinestars Alloy gloves.

Fingerless are the best as far as comfort (no to mention making it well easier to grab your change at the toll booths).
But anyone who's ridden around fingerless all summer will tell you that you end up with dumb looking hands.

Sunburned finger tips and a big D burnt into each hand.
