Front pulley

    Would a pulley from a 2000 Sportster fit into a 1996 Road King?

    Are you talking front pulley on the gearbox or the engine? Dont know if this helps but 2000 Sportster front pulley is 40205-95 29 tooth, rear pulley is 40213-00 61 tooth. 96RK front pulley(gearbox) is 40250-94 32 Tooth, rear pulley is 40217-79A 70 tooth. Hope this helps bud.

    Thanks for that. I am not concerned about the number of teeth  29 is fine. Problem is I have bought a Softail belt which is just a bit too short for my front pulley which has 32 teeth. What I am concerned about is whether the Sportster transmission spricket (pulley) will actually FIT onto the Evo structure?

    if it's too short it won't fit regardless of anything.
