g,day people , have a problem with ignition turn the key and it stays on lock , its been happening for a while but usually after a few goes it works , the bike is a 2010 fatboy ,has any one had this problem , or know how to fix it , thanks in advance , j

HD will probably charge you a arm and a leg to replace it, perhaps a Automotive Locksmith.

have you tried spraying it with wd40 ?

no beagle but i did try contact cleaner  ,no result ,will give machanic a call tomorrow , cheers j

it sounds like a mechanical problem with the ignition. I would try wd40 before I went to the mech. cant hurt.

no worries beagle , spoke to machanic , told me to disconect wireing loom to ignition and hot wire it, if it does,nt fire its ignition ,if it does its shitty conection , will be onto it tommorow ,cheers j

sorry about the bum steer j. I thought you were saying the switch itself wouldn't turn. (locked) keep us informed. I would have thought that if you hotwired it with the ignition disconnected and it fired then the ignition switch would be the problem. let us know how you go

well looks like the problem is solved , fob battery is weak , just have to get anew one sent out ,but pretty sure its the problem ,thanks everone for your input ,j the dc !
