Pulled the trigger yesterday on a sweet, new, black sportster low 883.  My first HD and boy am I excited for an older guy!

They are a sweet bike... might just find the suspension a little challenging and the pipes a little tame but otherwise YAHOO for YOU!

Good to hear we are gaining another Sporty. You will have fun with it.

It's a good thing putting forward controls on the Sportster low because you've already got the pullback handlebars. One of the first things I did to my standard was put forward controls on it and I only just put pull back risers on the bars. The pullback bars work great with forward controls.

Well, brought it home tonight!  OMG what an amazing experience.  I have heard that you always remember your first Harley ride, well, I will never forget this.  This is beyond what I expected!  No words for it.   By the way, Who needs suspension?  As for the pipes, yeah, too tame, I will look into some V & H on the first service. 

congrats on your bike . yes it is a memorable experience even rember the smell of it . when i got my last year forward controls went straight on . made it more comfy to ride .

Yeah, I forgot to mention the smell, especially riding it home in the rain.  Hot and cold,  Woohooo!

Well you christened it now. Glad to hear that you love it. Now the fun begins with the mods. Only stops when the money does.

LOL -  the money stopped today, at least for awhile anyway.  Worth every penny though. Have to pull out the piggy...or should I say, HOG bank and start saving again.

The weather has been lousy here in Perth for outside photos.  Soon as she clears up I'll get some posted.  Is it normal to go into the garage and just start her up and listen to her. Is this love? 

Yep, sure is. Just keep away from the exhaust pipes while their hot.
