Air Cleaner, Pipes and SEPST

    G,day,

I just started pulling bike down(FLSTFB 2010) to fit a SE Ventilator Air Cleaner, D&D Lowcat Exhaust and a SEPST . Just a couple of questions.

    1) The active intake solenoid wires that plug into the OE air cleaner back plate. I guess they just get tucked away or taken out all together do they ?? as there obviously is nowhere for them to connect to any longer.

    2) The active exhaust module ?? I figure this can be pulled out altogether as well and disregarded ??

    Make it a few questions

    3) My new pipes do have oxygen sensor plug outlets fitted with bungs in them, are they really that necessary ?? If I am able to get rid of my oxy sensors, when I go to do my tune it would be open loop instead of closed loop is that right.

    Cheers

    Ron

My active intake module plug required a resistor or something like, that so that ECU didn't throw up a fault code. The active exhaust plug only has a peace of wire to bridge two of the plug pin connector, for the same reason.
The O2 sensors are required for the tuning process with your SE tuner, I'm sure. After you have completed your tuning, you can make the adjustments in your final map to run in open loop. There are others on here that are more familiar the SEPST than I am.- Rob

    OK,

I think I better look a bit more into this. Thanks for that mate, I will let you know what I come up with.

Well that seems easy enough, I just spoke to someone and he says you get a cap that goes over the end to prevent dirt and what ever finds its way in there to short it out and when I go into tune I apparently can turn them both off in the settings. See what happens.
