I'm sure this is a very dopey one, so take it easy on me, BUT...

Is there anyway you can get some small flames or ideally just a bit of dark red pinstriping done without removing tank/fenders and have it OVER the clear?
e.g. no rubbing back or full respray etc????

Reason being is the bike is brand new, and for some unkown reason it comes with 1 thin blood-red pinstripe on the tank. I'd like to either fatten that up or change it - or at the very least just continue the pinstripe onto the fenders....

    SG,

I'd imagine a good painter should be able to pin stripe it without the need for removing the tank and fenders. Because you're not doing any spraying it should be fairly simple.

However, I don't think it would look as good as having the work done with the clear removed and re-done.

Yeah cheers KC I guess if I just continue the pin, it will look good enough on top of clear,
but if I wanted more - e.g. flames etc then would have to go the whole "hog".

Not sure what the feeling is with Harleys and "car" pin striping, but couldn't you just by a reel of red from autobahn for 6 bucks-ish and run it along the pinstripe that's already there?

This is exactly the kinda' cheap arse, dodgy - BUT do it well and you get away with it - kind of idea's that I dig man. THANKS. :-)

Yeah, a mate of mine did some pin striping with the tape on his old 250, looked pretty cool - i'll try dig up some photos.

Also, although it's usually a realm reserved for boy racers and imports, you can get some pretty sweet decals nowadays.
If you take your time putting them on - they look as good as paint.

I've seen a few customs and when I asked them who did their paint, the reply was simply "Decals"

Simo laying down a post! FARK mate. Impressed, welcome bak!

Yeah I've seen some stick on vinyl graphics of checkered flags and skulls n' stuff. Look shithouse to me. I just want some blood red pins, about 1cm wide that's all.

I'm trying to buy a H.D old skool tank logo decal on ebay now, but thing is up to $15 bucks already!
