RSD gauge relocation should rock up next week for my iron 883. Just wondering if anyone has relocated there dummy lights to the left or right side of there bars?

I've just bought a black bar clamp and thinking about attaching it between the top screws on it's edge or on the left side of the bars? Has anyone done this and do you need to do much to the dummy light housing to make it waterproof (resistant)  once it's pulled from the stock gauge holder. 

Also just painted my headlight ring, I think it looks heaps better.
