Hey guys, anyone running fishtail slipons on a true-dual setup notice a reduction in performance?

 

Love the look of the V & H fishies but don't want to compromise or lose any power.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mate I cant give any advice on pros and cons on performance etc, I can only say , in my opinion, they look sweet and sound GREATTTTTTTTTT !!!!

Hopefully an experienced tuner will chime in and give the heads up on performance etc, !!! You may want to throw this up in the Workshop section, Dynoharley and company will at least see it there !!!

im running freedom sharktails on factory headers and everythings good..im using a fuelpak and didnt like the settings from V&H so i changed it to a free-er running exhaust( longshots ) and it made a huge difference in power..

DW, I didn't notice any significant change and as Mark (above) said, they look and sound great.

Love the look of them since seeing them on your old Roady Kusso. The Freedoms look good as do the V&H's, loved the sound on them as well.

Btw, I just checked out the Freedom's you mentioned...I think I prefer them for the true old school look. (I may have to go that way when I get my next RK)
The V&H look like a dirty mole's vagina in comparison.

Yeah, can't fully decide, mate. I love the Deluxe's but I like the size of the RK.

i def prefer the look of the sharktails to the fishtails..ive had both and prefer the sound out of the sharks..more lower and grumbly sound..( if that makes sense

uttukaos, I see there 32 inch long. But what is the diameter of your slipons ??? If you have stock headers , have you got to get the diameter that fits the stock headers, ??

I googled and answered my own question.  The diameter is the style you want.    The connection to the header pipes is the same.

In my opinion, the sharktails look better than the V & H fishtails.
I ended up with the true duals (V & H) fishtails and they sounded pretty good.....be aware, if you go for the Samson slip-ons, don't get the baffled ones. They're non removable and sound like shit. (just as quiet as the stock pipes)
