how long are they supposed to last????

my 1990 FXST is still on the original drive belt. and for over the last 2 years ive been running a 96 cube S&S. that will be 24 years service this august.

still looks perfect. is this freakish? 

I change mine every 50,000 . I've had a belt brake on me and it's no fun being stuck

How many Km's on yours oneup?

First belt on my '86 Softail did 130,000kms, was only replaced due to a long-embedded stone that eventually caused de-lamination and tooth shedding.

Hundreds of thousands. no idea really as the odometer shit itself. replaced cable, and speedo works but no mileage.  im  not worried about the milage as i wont ever sell that bike..its family.
