When I bought my 2009 X-Bones it came with Vance and Hines Big Radius pipes. Mr Plod said they werent long enough and were

too loud(hello Mr yellow sticker). Soooooo I shelled out a cool and easy $450smackeroonies including freight and bought a set

of BUBs Lakesters. Sound is not so abnoxious (actually the sound is more rounded off instead of having that crack to it).

They are axcel length level cut. As an added bonus not every fucker with a Harley has them unlike the Vance & Hines so they are

a little different to the norm!!!

I like the look of the headers and also overall, it looks better IMHO.
The way your old pipes bend down to face the ground will make the exhaust reverberate more off the road as compared to having them exit straight out the back.

Theres are some laws for where pipes exit for cars but nothing for length on bikes.

And I'm thinking he probably guessed they were too loud aswell. (even if he was right).
