The FP3 arrived today, so far I am very happy with it.

Installation was very simple, remove seat and plug in. Turn ignition on and pair with iphone (or android).  Once paired, open the app and put in details from drop down choices,  bike - pipes - baffles - engine.

The app then downloads the appropriate map in a few seconds and then select install map. First it uploads your original map the their server so you can retrieve it later if needed, then flashes the new map.

I have only taken it for a short testride so far with great results. I was experiencing severe popping on decel since installing straight shot slipons, straight away this was gone. Bike sounds a bit better and seems to run a bit smoother. Time will tell how the fuel economy is, hopefully will improve a bit as well.

I will run this map for a week or 2 then try out the autotune feature.

    Update in a few weeks.

Hi Peter, I take it you have the V&H FP3 installed on a Heritage !! Can you give a run down on motor mods etc !!! Have only read about this tuner on the USA sites. The feed back from what I read seems all good !!! Another Tuner / Auto Tuner for people to choose from. The technology is sure ramping up on all tuners / auto tuners on the market these days. Look forward to your updates !!! Cheers .

it covers basically what most will use a PV1 or PV2 for anyway so they are pretty good and certainly presumes you are buying one to utilise ur smartphone.

i think they're pretty cool and have'nt had any complaints,
if planning a big build then you will definately need proper tuning down the track.

Do you leave it on the bike full time does it fit inside the box easily?

That's cool. Definitely like the idea of being able to tune it on the go.
