HD recommend 20W50 oil in the transmission but from what Ive read, 75W90 gear oil such as Mobil 1 or Redline makes for a much smoother shifting tranny and better protection. True? it must be coz I read it, anyway where can I get Redline Vtwin shock proof trans oil in Brisbane, or Australia for that matter?

    Burson's stock Redline Heavy Shockproof.

its pretty exxy, but Ive had it in the bob for 7000km and definitely noticed smoother shifting & less clunk when dropping it into 1st gear.

Yep, GL Lubricants are the go, get all my oils from them for a couple of years now.

Yep, I have started using Redline, at first I thought no biggie but since riding a mates bike and then getting back on mine the gear box is defiantly smoother. Both bikes were low kay late model Night Trains. I bought it at Bursons.

Thanks I ended up buying Amsoil for the crank case, and Amsoil severe gear 75w 110 for the transmission, I assume its as good as Redline in the gear box?
