Vehicle defects don't result in demerit points so you're safe

Sounds odd. Demerit points are assigned to road safety offences such as speeding, seatbelts, use phone, neg drive, fail giveway etc. Never seen or heard of them assigned to defect related matters or offences

    So, I found this entry:

    2.1.16 Horn
An efficient horn or other device must be fitted that is capable of warning other road users of the presence or position of the motor cycle. Horns, sirens or other devices that emit a sound like a siren, exhaust whistle, compression whistle or repeater horn must not be fitted.

My question is, what is an exhaust whistle, compression whistle or repeater horn?  I have a Mini Beast 2 Air Horn fitted and as far as I understood, it was an allowed horn as it was not, according to the TMR website when I checked, a "multi-toned horn" ie it was not one of those musical ones Dukes of Hazard style?

Must be a qld thing. You don't incur demerit points for infringements re modifications in the ACT. And probably the same in NSW
