    Hi,

anyone tried the "stubby" ring spanners from stanley or kinchrome instead of buying an official dogbone torque adaptor

the stubby's may still have bit of flex

    Thanks

Use two 3/8 drive sockets the correct size, weld a bar between them, and grind down the sockets as needed for extra clearance.
I can shoot you a picture if needed.
    Great for rocker box work.

This was made up in a hurry years ago. Use at 90 degrees to your torque wrench, and the torque setting will be correct.

Just remember to make the socket drive square to the shaft if your torque wrench doesn't ratchet !

5/16"  for the rocker housing and rocker cover, and rocker support plate from memory .
