Dyna Detachable Saddlebags question

Hi guys, new member so hoping I'm posting in the right place.

I've just picked up the HD Dyna Detachable Saddlebags. As it's for my first and brand new bike, didn't fancy messing around too much so I had the dealership fit the Turn Signal Relo kit and the detachable docking hardware (with the appropriate double-length docking points to fit both bags and sissybar simultaneously).

My question is this: The instructions and the very few videos I can find on HD-geuine detachable bags indicate there should be 3 docking points - 2 on the fender plate and another somewhere on the springs? where the bar from the bags goes. Does that third docking point apply to a Dyna FXDC? The dealership installed the two points on the fender, but the saddlebag bar was still in the box unattached to the bags, the hole in the bar doesn't seem to fit anywhere on the bike, and the instructions are extremely vague about which models require it and how to install it on the bike.

Anyone with a Dyna and these bags know for sure if the FXDC needs the support arm? Any help would be greatly appreciated (and the dealership prolly already feels I'm a PINA). Cheers.

Thanks Hilly. Just rang the service department and they have no idea where/how to fit it either. I've done some research and it's a common problem - the instructions with the bags refer you to instructions for the lower docking point, but they aren't anywhere to be found.

So question - does anyone with the Dyna Detachable Saddlebags with the third mounting point happen to have a picture clearly showing where on the bike it is installed? I have found plenty of forums referencing the difficulty of fitting to the shocks without instructions, but no clear instructions or pics.

    Thanks in advance.

That'd be great please Hilly, much appreciated. Assume you have to line up the arms on the bags before you tighten the springs back up? May need to take it to the dealer to install as I don't have a jack/lift.

You're a legend, thanks very much mate. Will take that to the dealer Sat and get them to install it.
