Thanks in advance for any answers. The problem is now I live in the country i am concerned about the air from the local servo as it is not an authourised Harley Davidson dealer. The question is should I use there air or wait until i get to Adelaide to pump up my tyres at an authourised dealer ? I am concerned about the air quality.

It's all good if you pump them up with a H-D branded tyre inflator.
That way the generic air passes through an approved H-D device and the air is magically and chemically transformed, purified, homogenized and finally pasteurized and can be used in any H-D tyre to prolong tyre life.
    Hope this helps............

Get the dealer to pump up your tyres. You may not notice any difference, but you will feel better knowing it was done by a professional.

What you have failed to include in this sad tale is the most important information of all..........What oil is being used in the compressor to make the air? Is it a single piston compressor or a twin? Once you have a few answers to these questions I suggest you re post your concerns about your air problems.

Thanks for having me I have been great!

Id be looking at your tyre pressures as well.

Everytime you come down the hills your pressures increase.

And if you top up with Harley air in the city, by the time you get back into the hills and your tyres cool, the pressures will be lower than recommended.

Just make sure when you inflate your tires that they are using the latest HD Approved equipment, the newest compressor runs through a Ioniser aligner,
without this in place you will lack acceleration, handling and Horse power will be infringed.

i never used to bother which brand of air i put in my tyres but after getting new tyres fitted at the local bike shop the bike handled a lot better. they were using an Atlas Copco two stage compessor. i noticed they were using a no name inflator but my concerns about that were proved unfounded cos the bike handles really good now

I think it makes a whole lot of difference what sort of electricity you use to power your compressor. Genuine Harley Davidson Electricity ensures that your compressor runs perfect every time.

Just plug your compressor into the 12V socket on your bagger and your tyres will never be flat.

Excess electricity can be diverted to a portable Harley Davidson bar fridge to keep your refreshments nice and cool.

I try to pump up my tyres when riding around in the hills as the air is lighter and your bike will be faster and handle better.

I always blow my tyres up when I'm out at the dragstrip, you can feel the difference with racing air.

Don't use that cheap imported air. It sticks together and all ends up on one side of the tyre and throws the balance out.

Next time you are in the dealership just take in a jar, open the lid and bottle a little from in the shop. You can then feed straight into the air compressor intake and all will be OK.

*WARNING be careful where you collect it from as the atomsphere around the spare parts counter can be very oxygen deficient due to unregulated thievery.....
