Crank runout

Picked up my bike today after having a cam installed and they mentioned that the crank run out is at 7thou. (Hope I have said that right) This is a bit out of my depth mechanically. They said this is pretty close to the limit before having to get it fixed. I don't really thrash the bike so they said it should be OK. Is there a chance this could damage the motor? I do like to give a squirt every now and then, but it does not get to hard of a time. It sounded like an expensive fix. Any advice would be great.

Just ride it if it doesn't shift from there you will be sweet, no chance of gear drives thou

I have done cam's in at least a dozen 103's all have had .007" or more, now the old 96cubers were and have been no more than .003"

did a 107 on a new softy that did 120/120 with .007" runout and been going strong for over a year now and this thing gets bashed up

7 thou would be about the limit I think.... mine was 3 thou and it gets somewhat flogged and (touch wood) no problems to date

Thanks Ando & Uncle, will leave it be for now and hopefully won't get any worse.
