Hello all, I am thinking of having this kit installed into my 08 FLHT. $1,200 to buy. $? to have fitted.

Anybody done this route. If so what's your opinion on it?

    any correspondence appreciated.

I would be paying my dealer to install it.

I do pretty well everything to my bike, but I'm not confident enough to pull an engine apart.

Yes mate, I just thought the idea of that bit more torque would be appealing, you know , pull out from behind a b-double and round it up.

I've done the stage one bit and found the difference to be bugger all. I'm not a speed demon by anY stretch of the imagination. I just feel that I'd like a bit more from  off the mark to 4 thousand revs.

    Thanks for showing an interest.

Or if your rear pulley is a 66 th you could fit a 70th. Maybe a couple of hundred and some time in the shed.

    hi,

go for it Neale you wont get better quality parts anywhere which will bolt together correctly, if you take it to 4 mechanic shops you will get four different builds/opinions and a variety of parts/components and if something goes wrong the tune/tuning device or tuner will probably get the blame

you will definitely get a boost out of the stage 2 kit, some dealers have winter specials so maybe go to a couple and get a price

    thanks

I've gone with an s&s 106 kit, 583 cams, assembled by APL at Windsor who will be porting my original heads and doing an individual cylinder tune on the shop dyno. I will let you know the end results.
