i have bought a 16x3-5" rear wire wheel, 2008 with 1" bearings, will 3/4" bearins fit as i wan't to fit this wheel to my87 softy.

Yes
You can replace the bearings to suit 3/4 axle
or just slip in reducers

if you change bearings to 3/4 you will need to make a new spacer tube cant use 25mm , or 1 inch tube with 3/4 bearings
if you use the reduces get them from Vulcan engineering there stanless so they wont rust to the bearing ,you will have to make new axel spacers though

ps do you realize your 87 softail pulley and brake rotor wont fit the later wheel it has a bigger centre hole

woops sorry hounddog yes Vulcan do make them just had a look but he may still have
problems with with pulley hitting ? something he will need to work out

1/4" pulley adaptor flange, ?

if it was me I would do a dummy fit to get a rough idea of what you need to do ,wether your going to centre the wheel or not
