Other way is if you're a HOG member to book a bike through their web site onto a Harley Dealer in LA, just be sure of what you want and it's what you get though.

Used them for a 5000+ km trip through the West US. Great company to deal with and had no trouble with any of our bikes.

eagle rider seems to be everywhere, and have never heard a complaint about them. some dealers do hire, and prices vary from shop to shop so shop around online.
rentals are not cheap though. over a few weeks it soon adds up. have you looked into buying and bringing it home?? its pretty easy
