Can anyone tell me if the gas tank trim and badges from the early 1940’s Knucklehead will fit the gas tank on an ’07 FLSTC Heritage Softail ?

I'm wanting to do a similar old school paint (two tone) and use reproduction (or NOS) trim and badges from the Knucklehead era.

as long as they are 3m tape and not the pin / clip type should be easy as im pretty sure early types where pin on

Yeah cool, was thinking I'd go for repro with the 3m backing for sure, but I was more concerned about the profile fitting the curvature of the tank on the Herotage softail as opposed to the Knucklehead tank.!

 

the trims look pretty thin though, so maybe they a slightly flexible and I can bend them to match if they don't already ?

Ok cool, was mainly referring to the longer strips that go around the tank...but they probably will bend to fit too hopefully.
