My new build is 1000 kays in and still running strong.  I had a big fright at 500 kays.  Riding and clunk, clunk, clunk, My first thought was fuck, they were right, I shouldnt be building my own engine, I have fucked it.  My heart sank, I did a walk around the bike and noticed the rear wheel bearing had shit its self.

I was releived, I didnt care too much about beeing stranded, just releived it wasnt the donk.

Cheers Robots, i put in a big bore kit but not SE gear.

Hey Mark, 2009 Softail 14000 kms on the clock. It could be from using the pressure washer although I have had 3 bikes(same model) and I have not had a problem with the other 2 bikes and they have been presure washed aswell.

I have changed my washing system just incase it was the pressure washer.

common problem just brought a set of bearings for next project this week $12 bucks for a good quality bearing made in Poland
rather than the china ones that Harley use and this for a set 2013 rims which the bearings where very ordinary

good to here your bikes going well rod  keep it up

Cheers Boys. I have had the rear wheel of several times but I have never torqued the rear wheel axle nut. $12.00, fark, I think harley charged me double or tripple that.

Hopefuly win myself a free dynotune soon, the Grey Night Train has sold so I will be paying for a dyno if I dont win the freeby. Hilly, I was very close to pulling the primary too because my feel on it was clutch or compensating sprocket, thank fark I had a good walk around first.

Robots, if you are at 96" now, and you are thinking of going bigger, then you are crazy not too.
Just remember to set your compression to suit your cams.
I have a nice set of low Km Hallam late heads with Comp' releases on the shelf that would suit you as well !!
