I think you end up getting charged admin fees if the beeper doesn't go off but you can prove you have one?? Otherwise there'd be no need for beepers at all

I've just put mine in my coat pocket and it has worked. I tried to add my bike to the list of vehicles that can use my account, but you can't add a motorbike. This is with ROAM. Doesn't make sense to me. It's just an excuse for them to try and charge you an additional fee for plate recognition. It's a load of bullshit. They get to to charge people a fee for using a road that should make their trip quicker, but half the time the poor buggers are stuck in bumber to bumber traffic. It sucks. They shouldn't be able to charge a fee if you can't maintain a certain speed while using the road.

Get a breeze (Eastlink) account and there's no need for a tag - and afaik no extra fees for plate recognition on either Eastlink or citylink

seems different companies have different issues. I use toll roads with different operators against my Flowtoll account and have never had an issue, 3 bikes no tags( 2 at the same time) yes that's tricky, and 2 cars with tags.

Might be worth checking the different providers to see who has the best arrangements although I fucked if I know why they can't all be the same
