Hi all , just a question ...has anyone else had problems with breather valves or the seals that go with them . l have oil coming out of the airbox ... not alot but enuff to make me look a bit oily on my right leg. The airfilter is standard and l have not overfilled the oil tank . This leaves the breather valves as the culprit .... but l havent heard of anyone having trouble with them before. Anyone here experienced it before ??????

are you sure you have not over filled the oil tank? mine is good if it`s on the half way mark of the stick when hot! NO HIGHER THOUGH.

I stand ready to be corrected, but I don't think you can overfill the oil tank and cause problems, apart from oil coming out the top of the filler when it gets hot and expands.

As far as I know, the mark on the dipstick is to show minimum level....

Thanks for the reply, l will try reducing the oil to that level and see if it makes a difference. Never had it happen before though .

Thanks for your reply . In the hand and workshop manuals it states an overfilled oil tank will dispell oil via the airbox . Well at least l think  that's what  l read , better check .

. I have found the culprit and am grateful to all those who replied. As it turns out ....the front right fork seal had gone and was slowly leaking oil onto me and the motor . It was slow at first but as the seal wore more ..l wore more oil.... fork oil to be precise. Regards
