Hey everyone. I’ve been reading here for a while but, been slack at doing an intro…… I’m on my first Harley, a ’08 Street Glide. I really enjoy riding the big girl, did about 6000 kms in the first couple of months.

I used to have a Yammy V-star but sold it last year. My wife has got a 2012 Ninja 250 as well. We live in Gippsland, Victoria and usually ride the Sale-Traralgon area.

    Here’s a pic… Cheerssmiley

Welcome Hallze, That's a nice bike for a first harley. Do you ride where all them potholes are? I think they're more down burnzi's way from memory.

Hey Harry, Yeah not too many potholes near us but a lot of the roads have big lumps in them. They give the ole back department a fair whack. I fitted up some Ikon 7614 rear shocks but I'm not 100% happy yet. I got the 12" version to suit the Street Glide but I'm wondering if I should have got the 13" setup. Maybe a bit more travel would help and smooth out the bumps. I went down to Phillip Island a few months ago via the South Gippy highway and man was the road bad!! It is a true disgrace that they leave the roads in such a bad way.....

Yeah that road is a shocker the missus and I went the full length around xmas, Stayed overnight in Sale and there was no way in hell she was going home that way. I didn't want to either actually.

I've got 13" Ricor shocks on the Fatbob and they are a real good shock for the money, Set up for my weight etc. Not sure if they make them for yours though? Also helped out with the ground clearance a lot for just addding an inch.
