Well I may be up for a new motor, will find out early next week. The question is if I do what why to go total rebuild or just get a S&S motor its been 50,000 k's since I did the stage 3 & it was great but the bottom end now I think.

So if I go a new donk where to get the S&S from in Sydney & what size to go a 111 or 124

Easy, rebuild with new S&S crank, re-work your CNC heads, and bore your cylinders to 106/107.
    Update Cam chest as needed.
If you want the S&S motor, I'd stay with 111, going by the KM's you travel.

Well it looks like a rebuild but not sure who with Blacktown Harley or S&S Dealer APL @ Windsor all comes down to $$$'s or sell the bloody thing & loose everything.

There were a number of them some new , you have to go back a fare way but some maybe still available. Unfortunately the search function on here isn't that user friendly

    Hey,

Noticed a 96 cube, on evilbay.

I bought a 103 from on here and had it fitted at HH Dandy. Pretty good job, some issues but.

Since had to get easy start cams as was a struggle for my 06 starter to turn her over, much better now.

They are around and easy to pick up for less than $3000.00 although usually without G/box etc etc.

    Good luck.

Well had a meeting with Adam today from APL & they will do the job if the price is right he is going to pick the bike up & do a quote on a S&S stroker 106 rebuild might even be able to use my heads just rework them to same some money. I was very impressed with his workshop & the amount of bikes he has there they are working on doing different things, also has his own dyno. So stayed tuned fpr more.

Good plan !  Be prepared it wont be cheap, but you'll end up with a very strong motor.
Definitely keep your heads. At worst, they will need new valves, but maybe just guides.

Rick. If it were me I would got to one off the dealers (or performance shops) installing 120r engines. Tell them your interested in buying one of the engines being pulled out and leave your number. When I put in my 120r in my bike the bike was brand new. I sold the standard 103 engine had not even been started for $3000.00. Would have been nice knowing I had a buyer before hand. Who knows what great deal could come your way. As the conversions have become more polular the harder it has got to get rid of the original engine. I know a couple of perfmance shops I tried to sell mine too would not buy it because they already had a couple to sell themselves. So they are an option too. The ones I rang were in Adelaide. About 18 months ago.

Well I'm going with a rebuild going to a S&S 106 Stroker I will be looking forward to it no more SE parts in the motor I hope hopefully this will be the last rebuild I will have do for another 150.000 + k's as the top end only lasted 50,000ks At least the standard bottom end last out to 170,000k's.

Who are you getting to do the work?

    APL at Windsor

I'm happy with work & everything he did but it just took to long, as he is very busy too much work. But I would recommend them 1 thing I will say is that all Harley work shops must be bread with the lack of commuication with customers us less you bug them you never find out what is going on or I will get someone to call you shortly. But all I can say is I have a smile on my face & the motor is better then I thought & no more SE parts or Harley dealers working on the bike.
