Here is a pic of a couple of the old parts that I got back after approx. 50,000ks
Poor tune maybe ??? Or oil from breathers, rings or valve guides. ?????? Anyone got the answer or opinion.
The build up is bad & caused by rings gone & oil flowing past the rings I'm going to point any fingers but not happy with the dealer but I could also take a same blame as well. But I have learnt find 1 mech. & stay with them if you feel comfortable with them. I think I have found that company this time round & its a non dealer, the problem with dealers are they go through the mech. & workshop managers to much they get good 1's but they don't look after them so they find a better place.
I had a stage 3 done after 120,000k's & it lastest for 50,000 k's so know I have a whole new motor done from top to bottom 106 Stroker S&S I should of done this instead of a stage 3 to an old motor if the motor had only done 20 or 30.000 k's then it would of been most likely been a different story.
OK well the new motor has done 2000k now & I just had the dyno tune done & i very happy with the way the it is all going now,as long I look after it it will gewt another 100,000k on the old girl. I don't know if this is any good but the way it performs I very happy & has a shit load of Torque & happy with the HP as well, if i change the pipes & another dyno run it will be over a 100+ but I'm like my pipes & the sound.
If you have time with a build on your bike I wiould say speak to APL & see what they can do for you, they seem to have a lot of bikes in the shop having all sorts of work done to thenm from a simple service to a total build.
Nice flat torque curve I bet your happy with the bagger build. Thumbs up
They went with 583 cams
So they are saying you have 81.9 HP on the Dyno Dynamics Dyno ?
I take it the "Brand X" reading is their Dynojet correction factor ?
That is what I believe about the brand X
hi rick , is there dyno a specific bike dyno or car dyno with adaptor fitted to run bikes on thanks
Interesting shop APL. Apparently they build the fastest engines in the country ! They do make some nice looking bikes.
They don't port heads by hand, they use extrude honing .
I'm sure some will get a laugh out of this :
Its a bike dyno I will put a small video up once it loads to you tube
