I'm 42 and have a 2011 RK. First Harley. Prior to that a Honda Blackbird. Bought the RK when I was 40. I live in Dubbo so everywhere with a nice view is a 5 hr ride away. When I first bought it I thought I'd rarely use the screen as I wanted a "cooler" ride. Now the screen stays on even if I'm riding down to the shops. When I bought the RK I thought the Ultra's were old man's bikes. Now I'm getting one. As long as you're happy on it, it don't matter what you're on.

Road king riders typically are one of three types:
    Older folk
    Big bastards
    People who do decent kms

They're an awesome bike so who cares about who rides them

Bought my roady at 40. Love it, especially on long highway rides. Can also filter through most stationary traffic without too much hassle. Ride what feels best for you.

Buy the best Volvo you can afford while you are young. You'll never have to change it as you grow older. Just replace hats. :-)

I am 55 and just traded my Road KIng for a new 2014 Untra Limited...I also have a 2013 Heritage Softail Classic...what I ride depends on the mission and the mood... anyway  the international demographic for a Harley owner averages at a 45 year old auditor/accountant... I wouldnt give a red rats freckle what your mate reckons sit on it and if if its for you ride the hell out of it and just be happy.
