i have a mini Dakota speedo to mount on an EVO dyna. A mechanic told me to find an auto electrician to do it...has anyone done one themselves?

Aren't all dakota speedo's a direct plug in and play setup? Im not sure what model speedo you actually have but my dakota was a simple direct plug into the factory plug, had the thing installed in minutes, and everything works as usual

Nah, mine is an evo mate. It's the mini one that needs a few bits to make it work.

Ah ok. Do you have a manual for your Dyna with a wiring diagram? If you do, it would be as simple as tapping into the factory speedo wiring loom? Or am I missing something?
