Belt or Shaft for a tourer, chain for sports bikes

I'll vote for belt, my wideglide is the first belt drive I have owned and am impressed with it's quiet and smooth operation and lack of required maintenance, I have heard that a belt can handle up to 120 odd horsepower, I had a mate who's chain broke and bunched up around the front sprocket and smashed open his bikes engine cases, pretty much required new cases and an engine rebuild(sporty)

I'll take the belt anyday. Quiet operation and I don't have to touch it. On all my old chain driven bikes, clean up the bike and before you know it chain lube all over 1 side of the rim,....Even using the good sticky lube, even adjusted correctly...noisy. Nah, just not for me.

Coming from sports bike which are chain drives. The maintenance is a pain in the ass.
    Belts are hassle free

    Thanks guys, all good comments!

What about taking the maintenance 'negative' out buy using a sealed o-ring chain?
