2006 streetbob, ive had a fuel leak, just a dampness on the fuel line you could smell & feel when running hand over the line,it worsened to noticable drops on the primary cover , id taken the fuel line off cleaned the area a few times didnt help,,.rang the hd shop, told its common & replacment parts available, l asked whats the issue with it? replied just age & wear can order the parts for you if you want?,told him i'll get back to him after l take mine apart to find out whats up, dont have to take the tank off but you need to remove the filter & fuel pump assembly,(change the paper filter while your at it),, what l found was some very very fine wear marks on the joints, where the fuel lines couple together, not even measurable less than a thou"change both the line in the tank & the line from tank to injector body..there were 3 marks (1shown by the pencil) this is where they touch on the 3 ball bearings when you lift the chrome fitting (tank line) any way the new fitting has 5 ball bearings placed around instead of 3 so its a more stable fit on the (injector to tank fuel line )should last longer this time with the re-designed parts.
