Definitely, just keep your OEM pipes in the event you get pinged!

Most after market pipes are "illegal", some just attract more attention - usually they are the louder ones, like that one in your pic. That said, if you get an ahole cop who wants to be a prick you'll get pinged for something.

Those Santee LAF pipes are great if you are deaf and like losing power.

They are nice looking pipes but not called "Loud as Fuck" for no good reason.
I realise most on here have noisy, illegal pipes but obnoxiously loud pipes like that will attract the wrong kind of attention immediately. And this kind of wrong attention can unfortunately impact more of us when coppers decide to target more Harleys after they deal with you and your pipes.

Plus you will no back pressure and therefore stuff all throttle response until higher in the rev range.

Honestly was on that road before, dont bother and hang out for something better. Yes they look good and are cheap, but they will sound like shit, your bike will go as such and you will get done for them.If you are having trouble because you have an older sportster and nothing fits, keep in mind that any sportster pipe is backwards compatible on an EVO head, you will just need to make up your own mounting brackets and plug up the O2 sensor holes (if any).

if you are unlucky you get checked roadside by the dogs with epa, in victoria the fine is 704 bucks (last year) first offence....any pipes oter then the ones that come on the bike are normally over the allowable sound levels... gl bro

To be as diplomatic as possible some fuckers deserve to get done for loud pipes - I'm betting those qualify. Teeth rattling pipes aren't a good Harley sound, it's offensive and I've watched packs of people almost have heart attacks because some dipshit revs the crap out of a short pipe with no baffles while two feet from pedestrians. These are the guys that have made loud pipes a money grabber for the government, it's just a pity the powers that be couldn't care less about fair and just target all of us.
