    Hi guys,

Just fitted forward controls to my 2009 FXDL , then found the seat position was too far forward, so fitted a Tallboy seat, then found the handlebars were too far forward!!

Went to local HD store to get set of risers or handlebars to solve problem but told they don't have risers to fit because of turn indicator/ light module and handlebars start at 10" apes which will be too high!!

Anyone else had this problem? Need to get problem sorted before long trip to HOG rally!!

Can you tilt the handlebars rearward a little to close the gap??

Have tried that, but need to come back just about another 3-4inches. I want to try and keep original cables as well so don't really want to go too mad with after market handlebars which will mean changing cables and the look of the bike, just can't ride it since changing the seating position without getting back pain!!!!

What area are you in. I have a few options at home, adaptors to reduce the reach to the forwards, asst bar options etc. You can end up chasing your tail trying to sort it out. I'm based in Bne. Back on the weekend. Drop me line if you like, by pm.n

I designed and had this made up for a mates 07 lowrider to fit on T Bars made it to accept all the stock gear including the chrome cover on the front, it was cut out on a CNC then polished

Thanks for that Beagle, have fitted 8" mini apes which just give me just the right reach and able to keep the original lines and cables. Appreciate the help offered though mate!  Jack
