Are fournales the best shocks available for softails?

Mine were a bit stiff, our beautiful roads soon loosened them up, work quite well now. A little too smooth sometimes, as feels like riding on an air cushion and I like a bit of feedback which gets carried through a steel spring. Working too well to think of taking them off though and never felt the need to adjust them either. You can buy them wherever you want and at whatever price best suits you. Myer can't stop you buying Chanel No5 for the missus on the internet and its the same with the Fournales. Its illegal for them to try to monopolise the market and price fix under the trade practises act.

    Fournales are good shocks.

Think Thundertech are agents in WA, not sure on the other states.

    Berms,

The shocks come set for your weight from the factory. The instructions say not to adjust the height until a few thousand km's (can't remember the exact amount off the top of my head). i do not remember them being firm to begin with, but I do remember that I fitted them and then went on a few thousand KM ride with my mates. Of course we swapped bikes at various times and I rode other softails....... everyone rated the fournales.
Still love them and can definately pick the difference on a softail without them. By the way, prior to these, firstly I had the standard shocks, then put lowering bolts on these and then went to progressive shocks. I know that they are expensive but they are the best shocks I have had on my softail.

Nice, there is someone else modifting the standard ones. Ikon (modify the original shocks) owners seem very happy too. Was that ProMecha?

    What year is your bike?

How do they rate against the other shocks?

How much was it to have them done?

    Cheers

i take it that these shocks can be changed over by yourself .

I have the Factory Service manual (not with me at present though)

I have used RAD before on dirtbikes - not bad but i would think NEW shocks would be far better

Any idea what people are paying for

    - Progressive

    - Showa

    thanks
