These things really work fellas .
Can you get one that actually brews as I,m ridin China ? And maybe a breadmaker , fresh coffee and bread seems good ..........
Ha Ha i have a tricky thermos that i keep cold water in. Our 1000klm 1 day run was well over 40 degrees and the boys were laughing at the start, had a few offers to buy it for the run home the next day.
Wouldn't be without mine. Get the air deflector that lives under the bottom triple clamp as well. I had mine powder coated black , makes 'em blend in , IMHO.
Sag i am hoping that it changes the Aero from under the fairing and therefore creating less turbulance. Tim has given them a positive feedback and i value his opinion so have ordered a set. I will let you know what the result is for me.
Well Tim got the deflectors today and 15 min later off for the first run. Unbelievable difference as i had just done 200klm loop in the morning i was able to compare back to back. I have had 3 or 4 different screens on this bike as well as other aids to stop the bufferting with limited success, but should have taken your advise earlier. Many many thanks!!
Great news Pauly , though I can,t take the credit . It was through this forum , and talking to members , that put me on to them . Now you can try different screens .
Cheers again! Very happy with it as it now is, have done 38k before this mod so happy enough leaving it
Some people are hard to convince, yes they work exceptionally well.
57400146A is the part # you are after mate .
I have noticed that there is a small setback ..........i headed down the motorway to Rollies today and the air flow coming off a semi tends to make the old girl a bit unstable at 120kph. Nothing serious just a bit of a wobble when you are about level with the cab.
Passing a semi going the same way , or one oncoming going past Pauly ?
Tim overtaking on the motorway going in the same direction. If you are just a few klm quicker than the semi the "wash" of the semi as you draw level with the cab starts to disrupt the airflow around the front of the bike causing it to start misbehaving. Nothing serious but enough to get you interested. Once you are just ahead normal service resumes. I also have the air deflectors on the batwing as well so that may also play a part in the overall aero around the front. Still love the lack of bufferting. Did 200klm today to get some lyndall pads for the old girl.
I have the sheild and deflectors and dont feel any difference no matter if i am overtaking or not, on the Hume we
get to overtake shitloads of trucks at all speeds the only time i feel anything is oncoming trucks and its no
different to shield or none, still cop it.
Maybe get yourself a Fatboy Pauly .
