    have you just cut the original bracket & drilled the mounting holes for the plate higher up in the bracket

    rodrocket i took the inner gaurd out an drilled  4 new holes 20mm forward from the old holes . and cut the two little tabs of the gaurd

    Finally done my plate mod... Bought part no # 59500108 (Inner Support Domestic) made a bracket to mount the plate on, added an LED from fleabay and Whalla......
