Seems there was some comments about blowers back a while curious to know if anyone hasvbeen running a pro charger or anything else that there happy with for that matter.
Hi Frothy,
I set up a Pro charger on a 2007 Wideglide. We made some changes to the engine to make it a bit more super charger friendly. Started with forged 103 cube pistons and had the crown ceramic coated. We gave them a bit more clearance than we would on a std style engine. We kept the static comp at 9.4:1. Fitted some gear drive cams with a late opening intake valve to allow plenum pressure build up rather than blowing your boost straight out the exhaust. Cleaned up the heads and gave them a good valve job. The bike already had V&H big radius exhaust and it worked ok. Apart from that the Pro charger was fitted as supplied. Had to upgrade the clutch though. The bike also had a PC5 Power Commander and tuned up without any issues. The only thing I would change if I was to do another one is I would use a Power Vision to tune.. We didnt use the injectors in the kit. They were too small. The 2nd set they sent us were way too big. I found a set from a Chevy truck that were perfect. My overall view was very good. Easy to ride sedatley but when you open the throttle it was a tire melting animal.. The suspension and brakes were quickly upgraded as well.
Cheers Brian.
Had a customer with one on a 2010 fatboy, ran like a dog. 96 cube with 255 cams. After pulling all the piggy back crap off it and fixing a few things here is a vid of its first dyno..... I do prefer turbos, but there are no kits on the market that are any good. They all run turbos that are too small and just look ugly. Doing a custom turbo setup would be better but costs a fair amount to setup right and look good.
