Have done many klm on Avon tyres like many of us older forum members. They are a very reputable brand but please be aware that regardless of what bike you put them on it will steer a lot "slower" with the larger front wheel. What bike are the rims going on to?

I just got a Vee rubber 23" tyre fitted to a mammoth spoke wheel.
The tyre fitter had trouble getting it to seat the bead.
Took it to a car tyre place, put HEAPS of soap on the bead,Inflated to 60psi,job done.
Then let air out,put valve in and inflate to 36psi.
I got 16" rear n 23" front with 5 degree raked trees on a dyna.
Not the greatest handling bike but it looks great.

It was one I seen on eBay.
    Thought if try it.
I'll give you a report on it in a few weeks when I get a chance to put a
    Few hundred k's on it.
They are made in Thailand but seem to look ok.

Avon have served me well over the years, but daddyracer56 got me some Bridgstone Battle Ax in 17" real sticky  wall rubber & long wearing compound on the tread.

Chivo's Bike Tyres parramatta is a good place to buy Avon & fit.

Chivo does a good job, & builds spoke wheels, repairs them. & prices are about right, good to deal with. he has been in the game a long time.

    good luck with it.
