V&H Blackout 2-1 Pipes

    Hey guys,

Have had a few people asking to see the Vance & Hines Blackout 2-1 pipes I have on my bike, and I've tried to upload some pics to the 'See your sportster' forum section, but it just keeps freezing on me, and won't let me post me anything. So here's a quick pic. Anyways, as far as the pipes go, they've got a reallyyy nice sound - loud, deep and lots of grunt - you can also quiten them down quite a bit like I have done. As you know, the 2 into 1's also offer the best performance for those of you who are into the whole bike performance side of things. I purely bought these pipes for the look of them (I'm a graphic designer...sue me!), thus why I haven't installed any breather kits or engine mods. They retail for about $470 (I'm pretty sure that's what I paid) and you can order them straight through HD. Definitely Reccomend these pipes! They look great...

BUT*** There are some cons. The black powdercoat scratches off super easy, so when you install them, you need to be super careful. The pipes also get super hot, and unfortunately there are no heat shields for it. So you can either just take the heat like a man and acknowledge that sometime sooner or later you're most likely going to get a little leg burn (like I do ha ha), or you can try wrapping them up which should help quite a bit. But yea, the soles of my shoes have melted onto the pipes on more than one occasion ha ha.

    Overall though, epic pipes.

    Mate,

Great looking bike. I put a set of the blackouts on the wife's 883 Superlow. Wonderful sound.

Good stuff Recongazza - Post a pic up of the wife's bike with the pipes if you get a chance, would be good to see em'!

Looks great, all this bike needs is remove the reflector and relocate ignition/wire tuck and it will be on point. Great job.

Looks great! I bought some big radius 2 into 2 only 13 months ago - to change now might be a bit tough (with the wife). Will keep an eye out for 2 into 1's as they are definitely growing on me and will suit the eventual style of my bike.

Thanks Mate. Yeh I don't mind those Big Radius's, one of my mates is running them too. But they definitely have that chopper sort of look, so if you're planning on going another look, it might be a little hard to get out of it with those pipes on. Money, money, money... haha. Good luck with it man
