G'day guys I'm new to the site.

I know this might have been asked or spoken about previously but I cant find it anywhere in the history Search bar.

    I've got a 2010 dyna wide glide with a stage 1 heavy breather and v&h 2into2

I had a fair improvement with those mods but im after abit more low to midrange pull say between 2000rpm to 4500rpm.

every mechanic or harley dealership I speak to gives me a different opionion,

ive had people tell me se 204's all the way up to the  se259e's

Has anyone had any work like this done or can anyone offer any advice as to what I should get done ?

I'm thinking screaming eagle 254e bit I'm not to familiar with compression and all the other stuff I would have to do get it running write.

i dont want a cam upgrade just for the stuff of it, I actually want it to run at its prime. Happy to get it dyno tuned aswell once I choose the right can.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hamada.

Hilly would compression be an issue with the 204's ?

    Ok thanks for help.

One dealer mechanic suggested 259e with high comp heads and modified push rods. What would that give me.

Kinda makes me think if I'm gonna spend that sort of cabbage I might aswell just go with a stage 4 or there abouts.

    I went with the stage 4 , got 109 & 110 very please with the result .

wait for winter then shop around with the dealers and they will do you a good deal on the kit

I've got Andrews 37H cams to go in my 2010 TC 96 at the next service. (already has a stage 1)

I wanted a bit more low and mid range but not necessarily a fire breather as I ride every day in all conditions.

Just received my set of Andrews 57H for my 96" WG (Stage 1) - I'll install and leave a product review in the next couple of weeks -  Its really confusing out there with SOOO many options/opinions ;-) Just keep reading and keep on learning/ experimenting ;-)

    Hi,

Sparra i think it runs at about $1500 at dealer for the cams, parts assistant at HH was telling me to keep an eye out for winter deals coming up

What you reckon about changing the cam bearing and lifters? Oviously lifters you can check as per manual specs but is the cam bearing another "oh know" its harley bearing then no good whip it out for a timken

Wives tale like change wheel bearings when you change tyres he he ha ha he he ha ha

    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes just get some new ones and plonk them in easy as, the cam bearing an interesting one as manual doesnt mention wear limits, inspection etc just pure removal and install

33000kms on stock cams, wheel bearings fine , neck bearings fine, interesting

    Thanks

have all the parts, just waiting on the cam bearing removal/ installation tool.... The sender sent it to the wrong post code, and its "lost" in the system since the 4th March..... hopefully it will turn up soon and I'll post my review and results. I intend having it dynoed so then I post the results

    Robots

I'll be using S&S quickies - was told they top quality and minimise the f!@# around factor lol

Ordered the Gary Beatty tool - it got good reviews on the US sites. $120 US including postage

    Cheers

Robots, the comp cam lifters work well.
I've used both the 850 and the 875.
