Handlebar extension kits? Don't use em!

Hi guys, just thought I would let you know about my experience with wiring extension kit! I replaced bars 3 months ago and used a Namz wiring extension kit. The problem I had was with the connectors on the extension, when joined they are about 40mm long in a bunch of eight (not staggered) I put Wild ones 1 1/4  bars on and still had trouble pulling the wire around the tight bend I was a little worried about the connectors snapping as they went around the lower bend. Once on I found the Kill switch and high  beam were not working so off with the bars again finding 2 connectors had snapped so I fixed these and every thing has been OK until recently when my left indicator started working intermittently. What I found was the connectors are right on where the loom bends under lower triple clamp and with the turning of the bars has snapped another connector! PIA. So if I were to do it again I would cut the wires and extend the middle so you could keep the correct cable colour going into Deusch connector. For the extra time in doing this may save heaps of time & headaches!

i have recently done similar to you. I have put a set of 12" Wild one bars on my 2001 Softatil and used the Namz extension kit though I have not had any problems.
I ran my wires through my bars prior to connecting the extension kit and all working great. They are a little bulky but would use them again.

most importantly I love the look I of the Wild One bars..now to sort out some handling issues!!!
