The way that Richardson's Harley Davidson Hobart have routed the throttle cable (over the brake cable) has caused the throttle cable to wear through the black paint on the panel to the right rear of the head light.

I'll be getting a service in 2 weeks.  Reckon I'll be hitting them up for a new panel.

The throttle cables on the wife's Slim aren't tucked over the brake line like that. Although I can understand their reason for doing it. On hers, when the bars were turned hard right the cables would drag across the gas cap and top of the tank. I ended up zip tying them to the bars to prevent scratches till she got a set of 4" risers. These lifted the cables well up out of the way.

I would have thought there would be a cable routing guide for each model, rather than leaving each workshop to work it out for themselves.
